Villa Cicada has 3 twin bedrooms, each en-suite. Two have large 1.4 metre wide shower trays with glass doors and the third one has a bath as well as a separate standard shower cubicle with glass door. All have high, pumped water pressure! All bedrooms have balconies with tables and chairs; the upstairs bedrooms have sea-view, the downstairs one has garden view. Each bedroom has air-conditioning as well as a 3-speed ceiling fan, built in wardrobes and a mini-safe. The air-con units have built in heaters for early and late season and there are fan heaters as well.

All opening windows and the patio doors, have inbuilt, retractable insect netting. One of the twin bedrooms is downstairs which is ideal for those less mobile. There are just 7 steps (in 2 stages) up from the parking area to the villa.

The heptagonal 9.5 metre long, freshwater, swimming pool is close to the villa, on the same level as the large covered patio, so that parents can keep an easy eye on children swimming. The area around the pool has umbrellas & sunbeds with mattresses and an outside shower and barbeque.

Downstairs, apart from the third bedroom, the large open-plan kitchen opens onto the dining and sitting area. There is also a useful loo/utility room with a washing machine. The villa has air-conditioning in the sitting/dining area and a large 3-speed ceiling fan as well. The kitchen is particularly well equipped for a villa in Corfu, having a dishwasher, four ring electric hob and electric oven/grill, extractor fan, microwave, large fridge/freezer, espresso and cappuccino coffee making machine, fruit juicing machine, electric kettle, normal toaster, sandwich toaster, ice-crusher, food processor and hand blender etc. Plus an iron and ironing board! Hairdryers are in each bedroom as well.

Particular attention has been paid to providing a huge selection of glasses and plates, both breakable and non-breakable. In the sitting/dining area there is an open fireplace, leather sofas, drop-leaf dining table and a 14" television with Nova satellite*, video and DVD, as well as a CD player with cassette and radio. There is a small collection of children's videos and DVD's as well as a paperback 'library' and games such as Monopoly, Twister and Scrabble.

*Please note, at present BBC and ITV have withdrawn from Sky in Greece. We have therefore installed the Nova Satellite System, which has a wide range of news, sports, movie & childrens channels.

We have bi-lingual English local representation on the island who will visit and advise as you wish. Our maid provides maid service 3 times a week. The sheets and towels are changed twice a week. All linen and towels (and most of the contents of the house) has been brought out from England. Bath towels are generous bath sheets. Sheets are from hotel stock. We offer either blankets or duvets; the choice is yours. The pool is cleaned twice a week. We have on-hand English maintenance staff.

There is a cot and high chair in the villa at no extra cost. Please note, we do not provide cot linen. We also do not supply pool or beach towels.

We are strict on the maximum occupancy at the villa, which is 6 people plus 1 infant. If we find any more people staying in the villa (or its grounds) they will be evicted and we reserve the right to cancel your let as well. However, we accept that the occasional person may stay after a late night out.

Supermarkets, shops and tavernas are from 100 metres away; the beach is 125 metres, all on a gentle slope from the villa. All in all, a more than comfortable home-from-home built on our 30 years experience on the island.
